Record community engagement mixed with strategic planning for the future.

At our recent Annual General Meeting (AGM), the Board of Directors presented a comprehensive overview of our school’s achievements throughout the 2023 calendar year.

Acknowledgements and Nominations

Mahesh Advani has concluded his impactful three-year term and opted not to seek renomination as a Board Director. However, he will continue to serve on the Capital Planning Sub-Committee, where his steadfast dedication has been invaluable. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mahesh Advani for his outstanding contributions and unwavering commitment to our school’s advancement.

We are delighted to announce the successful renomination of Alex Zavros as Heritage Director and the nomination of Chloe Bond as Board Secretary.

Board Member Nominations

This year, we received unprecedented interest in Board membership, with four nominations for a single position. Due to the timing of the nominations, to ensure fairness in the voting procedures, the Board has decided on the following approach:

  • Instead of an immediate vote, the nominees have been invited to submit brief statements highlighting their skills and qualifications.
  • Vacancies will be evaluated against the Board’s skills matrix and ongoing projects throughout the year.
  • New appointments will be ratified at the next AGM, ensuring an equitable and strategic alignment of skills within the Board.
  • This method guarantees a fair opportunity for all nominees and promotes a cohesive integration of skills essential for our school’s governance.

We sincerely appreciate the overwhelming interest from our members in serving on the Board, highlighting our vibrant and engaged community. Looking ahead, we anticipate another year of collaboration and progress as we continue to nurture an enriching educational environment for our students.
